Located on the shores of Arena Gorda Beach in Punta Cana, Riu Palace is the newest of the five hotels at the Riu Resort complex. It attracts couples, singles, and families.

The marble lobby décor includes gilt-trimmed columns and chandeliers. Large, high-ceilinged suites and junior suites are decorated in traditional style, with dark wood, wrought iron, and upholstered furniture. La Altagracia poolside grill and steakhouse serves casual meals, while Krystal is an a la carte Asian fusion spot. Yokohama serves Japanese cuisine, La Bodega is Brazilian, and Luigi makes Italian food.

Active guests can spend their days windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, and snorkeling. An introductory scuba lesson is given in the hotel pool. Live music and dancing are available at the Pacha nightclub. The resort has a fully equipped gym, Jacuzzis, and a full menu of treatments available at the Eternal Spa.
