An all-inclusive resort, Meliá Caribe Tropical attracts families with its Flintstones Club-featuring themed activities and events for kids aged 4 months to 4 years, 5 to 8 and 9 to 13. Hokkaido offers Japanese delicacies while La Pagoda serves Oriental dishes. La Hacienda specializes in traditional Mexican cuisine. For fresh seafood, there's Capri and for a special treat guests can sample a traditional Dominican meal at El Guarapo. Gabi Club provides contemporary fare exclusively for guests staying in the resort's Royal Service suites.

Meliá Caribe Tropical Beach offers outdoor activities like a rock wall for climbing, tennis and water sports like snorkeling, kayaking and surfing to name a few. The Cocotal Golf & Country Club offers 27 holes of championship caliber golf; the hotel has a casino and a boutique shopping area.
