Frenchman's Reef and Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort combined two separate hotels in St. Thomas, USVI, to form one large resort popular with families and couples. Frenchman's Reef comprises one eight-story above Charlotte Amalie harbor, while the Morning Star section has five three-story buildings on the beach facing the sea. Guests staying in either section can make use of the 24-hour shuttle to any part of the resort or beach. Downtown Charlotte Amalie's shopping and attractions are a five-minute ride across the harbor.

The resort has several dining options: Havana Blue specializes in Latin fusion cuisine for dinner; Coco Joe's, Sunset Bar & Grill and Windows on the Harbour serve American fare in a casual atmosphere; Captain's Cafe is a pub and sports bar. There's a pool bar and lobby bar, as well as venues to grab a quick bite to go.

Spa tubs near the pools, one of them with a rock waterfall, offer the best views of the sunset. Activities include most watersports onsite, scuba diving nearby, two tennis courts with night play lighting, poolside tai chi, yoga and aerobics classes, and an extensive fitness center. The Reef Spa's specialty is La Stone therapy, using hot basalt and cold marble stones for massages.
