Situated on a former sugar plantation on Barbados’s Platinum Coast, Almond Beach Village is an all-inclusive resort ideal for families and couples. It is close to historic points of interest and the Bridgetown shopping and nightlife districts.
Plantation style resort buildings are set back from a mile of powdery white-sand beach on 32 acres of landscaped gardens and lush foliage. There are 11 types of rooms at Almond Beach Village, ranging from standard rooms to presidential suites. Comfortably appointed with mahogany and wicker furnishings and botanical print fabrics, all rooms have a balcony, patio or French balcony.
Almond Beach Village has five on-site restaurants, including its main restaurant, Horizon, which serves continental cuisine and offers a buffet and made-to-order omelets at breakfast, as well as an a la carte lunch on weekdays. The Reef offers casual meals during the day and seafood specialties in the evening in an al fresco setting on the beach. The beachfront Boardwalk Bar & Grill serves a casual lunch during the day. La Smarrita serves Northern Italian cuisine and Enid’s Restaurant specializes in local Bajan fare, drawing locals in addition to tourists. There is also the nearby Almond Beach Club for additional dining options.
Almond Beach Village offers a number of water and land sports including snorkeling, Hobie Cat sailing, squash and tennis. There are seven freshwater swimming pools and two Jacuzzis located throughout the property in addition to a fully equipped fitness center. For families, there is a kids club with playgrounds and activity centers.
