What was sugarcane is now replaced with coconut palms but we have close to a thousand palm trees on our 30 acres when the cottages are all settled just between the palms. So that we have a wonderful private setting for our guests This plantation is from the 1700s and it was made quite famous by the fact that Lord Nelson married Fanny Nisbet and this is – was their home for many years. The Nisbet Plantation Beach Club is a boutique luxury hotel in the Caribbean found on the island of Nevis in the West Indies. Dating to the 1700s, this plantation acquired fame from its early residents, Lord Horatio Nelson and his wife Fanny Nisbet, who occupied the estate for several years. As the only historic plantation inn situated directly on the beach, guests here enjoy the best of both worlds: a classic old-English plantation and a beachfront stay. There are nearly 1,000 palm trees covering the 30 acres of this resort, making it tropical but also private. Sixteen bungalows and 36 cottages are positioned throughout the property along with a main house that exudes a historic ambiance filled with antique furniture and artwork. Meet manager Steve Tyson and listen to him describe a typical full day at the resort where guests activities range from relaxing on the beach, taking a dip in the freshwater pool, receiving a rejuvenating treatment at The Palms Spa or sipping afternoon tea. Next, spend the evening at 1778 Great House, the lovely fine dining restaurant on the property.  Watch executive chef Antoinio F. Paini II prepare red snapper wrapped in plantains. Finish the meal with pastry chef Virgilio E. Mista, who reveals his exotic take on a creamy classic, crème brulee.
