The 500-acre The Wyndham Rio Mar Beach Resort and Spa is located between the El Yunque national rainforest and a mile-long stretch of Atlantic coastline in Puerto Rico.

The lobby, housed in a Spanish-style building, has large French windows to showcase the view.  Guestrooms at Wyndham Rio Mar have Italian tile floors, natural wood furniture, neutral-toned fabrics and king-size or double beds. All have furnished balconies with views of the ocean, resort, or mountains.

The Wyndham Rio Mar's Palio restaurant serves Italian dishes in a fine-dining setting. Authentic Puerto Rican and American cuisine are on the menu at Marbella. Shimas specializes in seafood and has a Japanese sushi bar. The Grille Room offers steaks and an extensive wine list, Iguana's Pub serves local cuisine, salads and sandwiches, and Seabreeze has snacks and sandwiches throughout the day. ERL (Eat, Refresh, Live) is a casual family-friendly venue for grab-and-go snacks, pastries and soft drinks.

The resort has two onsite championship golf courses and a tennis center. Water sports at pool and beach include parasailing, kayaking or snorkeling, and scuba diving lessons with PADI certified trainers. The Wyndham Rio Mar's casino offers blackjack, poker, slots and roulette.  Mandara Spa specializes in Balinese- and Caribbean-inspired face and body treatments, and the resort has an extensive shopping arcade as well.
