Built during the1950s, the InterContinental San Juan Resort & Casino is located on Isla Verde beach in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The resort offers several dining options and activities, as well as proximity to historic Old San Juan and the El Yunque Rainforest, attracting both couples and families.

Designed by postmodernist architect Morris Lapidus, the InterContinental San Juan Resort has Standard, Executive Club Level and Suite style accommodations. Rooms are furnished with classic wooden dressers, headboards and molding, and are decorated in muted earth tones, from plush carpets to the walls and bed linens.

There are four on-site restaurants at the InterContinental San Juan Resort, including Alfredo serving traditional Italian cuisine and Momoyama offering Japanese dishes cooked at tappanyaki tables or in a private tatami room. Splash Bar & Grill Poolside Restaurant is open for lunch and features a swim-up bar, while Ciao Mediterranean has a view of the ocean and specializes in dishes influenced by the flavors of Spain, Morocco and Greece for lunch and dinner. I Bar offers a wide range of tropical cocktails and Ottanta Bar at the entrance to Alfredo restaurant has a piano bar and Italian antipasti. 

The on-site fitness center is open 24 hours and features cardio and strength training equipment as well as oceanfront views. Families can enjoy nightly movies screening every day at 5 p.m., and for adults and couples there is live musical entertainment in the evenings, in addition to the on-site casino. The spa offers a sauna and whirlpool as well as signature treatments like the After Sun Pampering Massage, which uses a series of products to clean and polish the skin.
