Can you recommend some things to do off the strip?

Fremont Street is a must. At the heart of historic Vegas, it was the city's center of activity before the Las Vegas Strip was even started and is still a vibrant part of its gaming and entertainment industry. I'm planning my first trip to Vegas and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. Help!

One way to help make the city seem a little smaller is to take a guided tour. There are different bus and limo tours to take you around the strip, as well as helicopter tours to give you a unique view high about the neon lights.
