Ricks Café, Jamaica

Jamaican Sundown – Rick’s Cafe Travel Video duration – 2.49mins Rick’s Café Negril, Jamaica Travel Video 72 hours So we’re here in Rick’s Café, in Negril and as you can see, it is the happening spot. Locals tell me it is the place to watch a Jamaican sunset. Well I guess this place is absolutely insane. What’s the big attraction here? Well, you know, there’s a lot of attractions here. First, we have live reggae music which is actually a big attractive – attraction, and we have cliff divers, we have the swimming pool, it is a very nice place. Speaking of which, we have you. So what exactly is it that you do? First, I’m a life guard and an entertainer. I dive, flip, twists off the cliffs… And, how high are you diving from? Over there, it is about 35 feet... And what kind of dives do you do? You got any things special up your bathing trunks? Yea, the special dive that I do, I like to do a reverse flip from a tree up there, which is about 75 feet. It is a whole different level. And you’re not scared at all? Not scared of heights? No. I’m being alright and I am looking to go higher.

Raise a Red Stripe Beer and Take In the Sunset at Rick's Café

Rick’s Café is one of the hippest hangouts in Negril, Jamaica. Discover what the big attraction is at this world famous spot. Richard Hershman founded Rick's in 1974, when Negril was still an undiscovered paradise, and made it the first public bar and restaurant on the gorgeous West End Cliffs. Surviving hurricane damage over the years, Rick's has maintained its reputation as a premier gathering spot with a stunning cove and beautiful natural coral cliffs. Check out the stunts of daring cliff divers – or give it a try yourself! The highest diving platform is 35 feet above the crystal clear waters. Complete with a Pool ‘N Ocean Club, Rick’s is a great place to spend the day, and daily reggae performances create a laid-back party atmosphere. A savory menu of authentic Jamaican fare and continental favorites is served up by Head Chef Phillip "Sheddy" Williams, best accompanied by Rick’s signature Tropatini, or just an ice cold Red Stripe.  A favorite spot for night owls, Rick’s is especially popular at dusk when the real show begins with an unparalleled, panoramic view of the sunset.
