Built on 50 acres of land within a large nature reserve, Sandals Whitehouse European Village & Spa brings a touch of Europe to the Caribbean. A resort exclusively for couples, it is located Jamaica’s South Coast near YS Falls and the Appleton Estate.

Sandals Whitehouse has an elaborate lobby, with high ceilings, pillared archways, chandeliers and large French windows leading to the “piazza,” a landscaped courtyard with a central fountain. Guestrooms are located in the Italian, French or Dutch Village sections of the resort. All are painted in soft colors and have dark wood furniture and colorful fabrics, and most have either a balcony or patio with an ocean view. The marble bathrooms have tubs, walk-in showers and double vanities.

There is a diverse range of restaurants at Sandals Whitehouse. Giuseppe’s serves Italian food in a Mediterranean setting while Café de Paris serves pastries, desserts and coffee in French style. Bayside has international cuisine, and Jasmine’s has an Asian menu. Eleanor’s serves authentic Jamaican specialties, while the Bluefield Beach Club offers grilled patties, jerk chicken and other local favorites in a casual ambiance. The Arizona Beach Club serves Tex-Mex food beside the sea. The resort also has four bars, serving unlimited drinks.

Sandals Whitehouse has four swimming pools and two miles of private beachfront. Water sports including snorkeling, Hobie Cats, hydrobikes and glass-bottom boats are offered as part of the all-inclusive package. On land, activities include tennis, squash and beach volleyball. The full-service Red Lane Spa is known for its signature four-handed couples massage.
