In Bermuda, a golf course is only as good as the sum of its parts. At Tucker’s Point Golf Club, the pristine fairways, a sophisticated and inviting atmosphere and luxurious amenities all add up to an incredible golf vacation. Nestled on the rolling landscape of Hamilton Parish, Tucker’s Point presents a par 70 18-hole course set on 6,361 yards. One of the most historic courses on the island, Tuckers Point was originally built in 1932; its renovation in 2002 included five new holes, 17 new tees and 20 new bunkers, as well as top of the line TifEagle Bermuda Grass on the greens.
Though it is a friendly course, there are still a few tricky blind spots, made even more difficult due to unpredictable wind direction and speed. Both high and low handicappers will enjoy a well laid-out mix of difficult tee shots, good driving holes, tough par 3s, long par 5s and sloping embankments, all of which require strategic club selection and shot planning.
Tucker’s Point has 300 golfing members and 300 social members and is known for being an active young club with a full events calendar. The onsite practice facility is a draw in itself, boasting a whopping 10,000 square feet of practice putting greens, a short game area with technique-enhancing hazards, a driving range, weekly clinics and private instruction.
Occupying a stunning spot perched on a hilltop, the clubhouse is home to the Club Grille and Bar, a well-stocked pro shop and a full-service locker room. Upscale extras include an on-course beverage service, GPS Golf carts and new men’s and women’s Callaway X22 clubs available for rental. Tuckers Point is also the only course on the island to offer a custom club-fitting service, courtesy of Callaway.
