Although small in size at only nine holes, the aptly named Ocean View Golf Course presents a game-improving layout, complete with breathtaking panoramas and a sweeping seascape. Dramatic elevation changes and separate tee locations keep the back nine interesting and ensure a satisfying round of golf. For a true test of skill, the sixth hole presents golfers with a narrow and steep fairway that requires the utmost accuracy. This par 4 is relatively straight and features only a couple of bunkers near the green, but be prepared to use your full range of clubs on the alternating peaks and valleys that make up the fairway. Alex Madeiros, CEO of 2 A Tee, advises hitting the drive left to set yourself up for a better approach shot. If you can’t get on the green with your second stroke, keep drawing the ball toward the pin, because the fairway tends to pull right and the wall of trees breaks halfway to the flagstick. The green is pretty flat, so once you’re up there it’s not too tricky, but watch your pace because Bermuda’s greens are notoriously fast. This hole is tough, but practice makes perfect, and since this executive course is public, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to master it.
